Michael Shaw
Chief Risk Officer
Michael Shaw is the Chief Risk Officer at Aperture. Prior to joining Aperture, Michael spent ten years working in the hedge fund industry. He was at Caxton Associates for nine years as Head of Risk Management and concluded as Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. Subsequently, Michael was the Chief Risk Officer at Athanor Capital; additionally, he was Chief Compliance Officer towards the end of his tenure. Prior to moving to the buyside, Michael spent 13 years as a market risk manager at Goldman Sachs, initially in London and later in New York. He concluded as the Chief Market Risk Officer for GS Bank USA. Michael earned his BSc in Mathematics from the University of Nottingham.
